This Privacy Policy describes how Kozlivskyi Volodymyr
collects, uses, and shares information when you use the TutorGlide mobile
application ("App"), which connects students and teachers for scheduling and managing
online tutoring lessons. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address and password — when you register with email/password. Email verification is required before you can use the App.
- Google account name and email — when you sign in with Google.
- Apple ID name and email — when you sign in with Apple. If you choose to hide your email, we receive an Apple relay address instead.
- Name (first name, last name).
- Account role — Student or Teacher.
Student-Specific Information
- The rooms and lessons you are invited to or participate in, including room name, time zone, and lesson schedule.
- Your email address and invitation status when a teacher invites you to a room.
Teacher-Specific Information
- The rooms you create and manage, including room name, time zone, and the list of students in each room.
- The lessons you schedule, including title, description, and schedule/recurrence details.
- The email addresses of students you invite to your rooms.
Notification Data
- A push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) tied to your device, used to notify you when a lesson is created or rescheduled.
Locally Stored Data
- Your language preference and time-format preference are stored locally on your device to remember your settings between sessions.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- To let students and teachers schedule, manage, and get reminders about lessons.
- To send you push notifications about lesson creation, changes, or cancellations.
- To verify your email address and let you reset your password.
- To provide the App in your preferred language.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security
Your authentication identity is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides
industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your account, room, and lesson
data is stored in our own database and accessed through our backend API.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

- Account, profile, room, and lesson data is retained for as long as your account is active.

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection / Restriction — object to or restrict certain processing activities.
EU/EEA residents have these rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

You can delete your account at any time from within the App's Account Settings.
7. Children's Privacy
TutorGlide is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us with
personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material
changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of
the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
